Our client, a membership organisation is currently recruiting for an experienced and strategically minded temporary Events Content Manager to lead the design, planning and delivery of their event programmes. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-profile events that engage senior leaders, inform policy discussions and deliver tangible value to their members.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Research
- Lead the development of event agendas across priority themes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Define clear event outcomes and curate engaging and informative speaker briefings.
- Identify, secure and manage credible expert speakers.
- Undertake detailed research into policy and economic developments, incorporating member feedback and stakeholder insights into programme design.
- Ensure events attract relevant and high-calibre audiences.
Event Delivery & Impact
- Take an outcome-driven approach to event design, selecting formats, venues and facilitation methods that maximise value for members.
- Produce high-quality post-event reports and summaries to extend the impact of events.
- Develop sector knowledge through regular engagement with senior stakeholders and industry leaders.
- Oversee and coordinate with the Event Operations Assistant to ensure seamless event delivery.
Collaboration & Promotion
- Work closely with internal teams to create effective marketing and communications materials, including event webpages, newsletter content and promotional campaigns.
- Take ownership of all event deliverables, ensuring they are delivered to the highest professional standard.
Person Specification
- Minimum of 4 yearsβ experience in conference production or content development, ideally within policy, business or economic fields.
- Proven ability to manage the full conference cycle, from research and agenda setting through to speaker acquisition and event delivery.
- Experience engaging with senior executives, with the ability to contextualise expertise and build strong professional relationships.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic portfolio development and new event idea validation across international relations, economics, politics, finance or technology.
- Strong project management skills, ideally within a membership organisation, charity, public sector or third-sector environment.
- Evident interest in UK policymaking, government relations and economic development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional and insightful content.
