Our client, a highly respected and reputable recognised membership organisation within the construction and roofing sector, is currently seeking a Compliance Manager to lead quality assurance and compliance for their Competent Person Scheme. The Role

  • Lead and develop a team of inspectors, ensuring high-quality auditing and performance standards.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure robust audit and compliance processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical compliance policies aligned with ISO/IEC 17065:2012.
  • Provide guidance to contractors on industry standards and regulatory updates.
  • Represent the organisation at forums, events, and committee meetings.
  • Conduct risk assessments, surveillance inspections, and drive standardisation across audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and manage performance of inspectors through effective leadership.
  • Create and implement compliance policies and training programmes.
  • Conduct technical assessments in roofing and cladding disciplines.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to uphold industry standards.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with building regulations and associated British Standards.
  • Produce detailed audit findings, reports, and policy documentation.

Person Specification

  • In-depth compliance and auditing knowledge, ideally with ISO/IEC 17065:2012.
  • Broad technical expertise in pitched, flat, and metal roofing, and associated regulations.
  • Strong risk management, report writing, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and support a team.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Certified Compliance Manager (CCM) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems.
