Our client, a well-respected and reputable membership body with 27,000 members worldwide based in Central London, is currently looking for an Accreditation Officer.

The Role of Accreditation Officer

  • To administer technical assessments and quality assurance of planning education on behalf of the Higher Education Manager.
  • To provide advice and guidance on accreditation and careers to universities and planning students including pathways into our membership.
  • To assess university degree programmes for accreditation or professional recognition.
  • To collect, process and report accurate and detailed records on student data and accredited course information.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience of managing projects successfully.
  • Experience of organising and prioritising work effectively.
  • Experience of working within a professional institute, university or accreditation body.
  • Experience of supervising volunteers.
  • Experience of writing for the web and social media.
  • Experience of presenting to large groups.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • A good understanding of the tools and techniques needed to undertake quality assurance assessments.
  • A good understanding of higher education provision and accreditation.
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent.
  • An interest in the built environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and how they apply to the role.
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt style to suit different audiences.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good administrative and analytical skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to meetings or events through the UK and Ireland occasionally out of normal working hours.
