MEM Northampton is recruiting a Panel Beater to join our team(s) based in Turleigh, Bedford. Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Stripping and fitting panels
- Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition in line with approved methods
- Pulling out dents with aid of pin puller, slide hammers, miracle pulled, jig and panel beating hammers
- Completing minor and major filler work on the panels
- Supporting bodyshop team within other departments if required
- Training bodyshop trainee staff
Skills and expertise:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician / Panel Beater
- Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed
- Passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
- Ability to work independently on vehicles and make decisions when required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Own your own tools suitable for panel beating such as dolly hammers
- Full valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive automatic and manual cars
- Over 21 years old for insurance purposes
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday with weekend availability. Hours to be 07:30 - 16:00 to start from, and then shift would be given between hours: 06:00 - 18:00.
