MEM Recruitment is looking for a QC Inspector for an automotive company based in Thurleigh, MK44. The Inspector is responsible for the pre-refurbishment inspection/validation. It is a key role as you will be ensuring all vehicles are inspected to a high standard and in line with the company preparation standard policy.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Carry out vehicle QC inspection following a set procedure
- Perform road testing on vehicles making fault suggestions based on your findings whilst also testing feature functionality on all vehicles e.g., Sat Nav, Cruise Control and Air Conditioning
- Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed. Tablet training and vehicle flow process training will be provided.
- Proper usage and care of company equipment such as tools, scanner equipment, yard vehicles, and reporting of any defects.
- Keep Supervisors informed of current and forthcoming issues
- Raise any issues affecting the teams ability to perform their work
- Take part in team briefings within site and report outcomes back to leader
- Flexibility in terms of working on rotating shifts (4 on/4 off including weekends) and covering overtime.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role or have relevant experience.
- Ideally suited to Bodyshop inspectors, cosmetic appraisers and vehicle QC inspectors.
- Candidates must be able to accurately recommend cosmetic repair methods to all manner of cosmetic defects.
- Have basic IT skills, being able to follow a work list distributed via computer.
Shift: 08:00am to 16:30pm
Pay: Β£14.50 per hour
This role is an ongoing temporary position leading to permanent for the right candidates.
