Melvin John Electrical Contacting Ltd is an Electrical Engineering Company based in Coleford, Gloucestershire. Our scope of work covers Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Installation. Melvin John Electrical is a member of the NICEIC, the JIB and the ECA.
This is a full-time on-site role based in the Coleford and Gloucestershire area for an Electrician, preferably an Approved Electrician. The Electrician will be responsible for:
- Performing electrical repairs and installations
- Testing electrical systems to ensure compatibility and safety standards are met
- Completing online certification
- Maintaining electrical equipment
- Troubleshooting electrical issues
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship programme
- Certification as an Approved Electrician, i.e. Inspection and Test 2391 or an equivalent qualification
- Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety protocols
- Experience in electrical repair and installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver's license is required
Salary is negotiable dependent on experience and skills.
