Melton Concrete Products Ltd is a well-established, privately owned business with over four years of success and a great deal of experience in the industry. We specialise in supplying precast concrete flooring products and staircases for the UK construction and house-building sector. Due to our sustained growth, we are seeking a Sales Estimator/Project Manager to join our small Sales team at our office near Chippenham, Wiltshire.

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a proactive, IT-literate person with excellent communication and organisational skills, who thrives in both independent and team settings. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate gains the skills they will require to be successful in the role. Under the guidance of an experienced team member, they will be supported in achieving high standards before independently managing customer projects. Once fully trained, the successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of sales quotations and securing customer orders. They will collaborate with various teams, including Design, Production, Contracts, and Accounts, to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Prepare and submit accurate quotations to customers.
  • Producing basic designs using bespoke software for projects.
  • Negotiating and securing new contracts.
  • Working closely with the Designers and Contracts team to ensure project success.
  • Engaging with clients throughout the design and sales process.
  • Placing orders with suppliers according to client requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Motivated and well-organised, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented, ensuring quotations are precise and delivered on time.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced in construction or estimating (preferred but not required).

This is a full-time, permanent role (39 hours per week) with the following schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Friday: 8 AM – 4 PM

Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience). Auto-enrolment in the NEST Pension Scheme.
