About the role
As our Private Rented Sector Officer you will help shape the future of Melton's private rented sector by:
- Building strong, positive relationships with local landlords and letting agents.
- Supporting landlords to meet their legal obligations and adopt best practice.
- Designing and promoting innovative incentive schemes to promote quality and compliance.
- Developing and maintaining a database of properties.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Driven and motivated with an eye for detail.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a supportive team.
- Confident engaging with landlords, tenants and partners.
- Naturally curious and able to gather and analyse housing data.
- Passionate about improving housing standards and making a difference in the community.
You will need a driving license and access to a vehicle for site visits. Experience in housing and understanding of Renters Rights Act 2025 would be helpful, but just as important is your willingness to learn and deliver a great service.
