We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Melton Borough Council Housing Options team as a support and systems officer. This is a front line role dealing with straightforward enquiries, as well as supporting with basic IT system configuration and system improvements.

The successful candidate will be motivated with an eye for detail. They will be organised and will be able to follow processes and procedures to achieve set targets. They will look for appropriate service improvement and be willing to implement changes to facilitate this. You will be a team player but confident to work independently and have a flexible attitude to working under pressure. We are looking for an individual with a positive outlook and a desire to deliver a quality service to the community we serve.

A thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications is key and you will have a working knowledge of Excel and databases and be able to produce detailed reports as well as be able to maintain and update electronic information systems in accordance with data protection regulations. A working knowledge and understanding of housing related matters would be advantageous.

This opportunity would be ideal for an individual who wants to work with vulnerable customers but also have an interest in system improvement. At Melton Borough Council we are continually looking at how we can improve our service and processes and want someone to help us to deliver it!

We offer flexible and hybrid working, built on trust. Our standard week is 37 hours, and we simply ask that service needs are met. Balance matters. We encourage you to switch off and recharge, with up to 30 days’ annual leave.
