Job Title: Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Salary: £45000

Location: London (primarily Blackfriars, one day at Strand). Some remote work.

Who are we

Melrose Wellbeing specialises in delivering CBT within a workplace setting, allowing us to reach those who may otherwise never receive mental health support, while helping organisations to meet their wellbeing goals and reduce the stigma still surrounding mental health. We are embarking on an ambitious and exciting growth plan and we’re hiring for a range of roles to support this.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Taking charge of your own client businesses, you will work independently to deliver on-site CBT sessions to staff, while working in partnership with our office team to track progress and deliver wider support materials such as workshops, guides and email content. This is an exciting and enjoyable role which offers the right therapist the chance to contribute to wellbeing across their client organisations, making lasting and meaningful change to a wide range of individuals both within and outside of CBT sessions.

Responsibilities

Session Delivery

  • Delivery of weekly private CBT sessions face to face on client premises.
  • Maintenance of accurate and up to date case records to enable monitoring, analysis and reporting.
  • We prioritise the wellbeing of our team and work hard to ensure you’re able to deliver high quality therapy without compromising your own wellbeing. We maintain a manageable level of sessions daily with plenty of independence and flexibility in treatment processes, while supporting you with group and private supervision, as well as paid self-care time each week.

The Wider Service

  • Creation and delivery of additional content to support and promote your in-house work. This content will be designed to meet the needs you identify across your client businesses, and could include workshops, emails and guides, with the support of our marketing team.

Client Management

  • Participation in meetings with client HR contacts and others to discuss the service. This is a great opportunity to influence organisational policies and approaches to wellbeing, working to inform and encourage change which may benefit your clients and reduce stigma around mental health.

Team Participation

  • Whilst the role requires therapists to work independently within their client businesses, we work hard to ensure you feel part of the wider team and understand how your work contributes to the whole. You will participate in weekly group supervision and debriefing sessions, as well as planning sessions to support your Wider Service role. You will be expected to make the most of this support for your own benefit but also to support others in the team.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A fully qualified and accredited cognitive behavioural therapist
  • Comfortable delivering group sessions and workshops
  • Passionate about improving wellbeing within this setting and interested in the wider impact we can have by working in this way
  • Confident working independently
  • Able to communicate effectively within a corporate setting
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working with others, learning and supporting.

What we offer:

  • £45k FTE salary
  • 30 days’ paid holiday inclusive of bank holidays, FTE
  • Pension contributions
  • CPD and training
  • Group and individual supervision
  • Half a day weekly funded self-care
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Flexible working considered
  • Regular team dinners and socials
