We are looking for an exceptional Head of Engineering to help build the technical organisation that will support our next stage of growth.

Your Mission

Your mission is simple

Build an engineering organisation that ships faster, builds better products, and operates a highly reliable platform.

You will lead our engineering team, improve technical execution, eliminate recurring operational issues, recruit exceptional engineers, and establish the engineering culture and processes required to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the engineering team while raising engineering standards across the business.
  • Improve engineering velocity and establish predictable delivery processes.
  • Own platform reliability, scalability and production stability.
  • Reduce production incidents through better monitoring, testing and deployment practices.
  • Improve software architecture and reduce technical debt.
  • Work closely with the Founder and Head of Growth to deliver product initiatives that directly impact revenue.
  • Lead the technical roadmap across our existing products and future AI initiatives.
  • Establish engineering KPIs, development processes and accountability.
  • Build a culture focused on ownership, quality and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Previous experience leading engineering teams in a high-growth technology company.
  • Strong experience building and scaling consumer internet products.
  • Excellent understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, databases, APIs, queues, caching and scalable architectures.
  • Proven experience improving engineering processes and delivery.
  • Experience hiring and mentoring engineers.
  • Comfortable working directly with founders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands‑on enough to dive into technical challenges when needed, while primarily focusing on leadership and execution.

  • Experience with subscription or consumer internet businesses.
  • Experience with AI products or large language models.
  • Experience with messaging, email infrastructure or high-volume communication platforms.
  • Experience supporting international products at scale.
