We are seeking a detail-orientated and proactive Bid Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our organisation’s growth by coordinating bid activities efficiently. The ideal applicant will possess strong organisational skills. Accountable To: Business Development Director
Responsibilities:
- Tender Management – Identifying opportunities, managing bid portals, and ensuring all PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) and ITT (Invitation to Tender) documents are submitted on time. Monitoring tender responses via the portals.
- Documentation & Writing: Coordinating, editing, formatting, and proofreading bid responses, case studies, and CVs to create high-quality submissions.
- Collaboration: Acting as the central point of contact for the Business Development team to gather input and ensure consistency in proposals.
- Knowledge Management: Maintaining and updating the central Business Development spreadsheet / portal with all sales opportunities.
- Liaise with Mellors operations team to create and develop tender response evidence utilising company wide ideas and initiatives.
- Support with tender and bid submissions for new catering contracts.
- Collaborate closely with operational and marketing teams to identify initiatives to develop winning proposals.
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of opportunities.
- Represent Mellors Catering Services at industry events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with Adobe InDesign.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and ambitious, with a genuine interest in the food and hospitality sector.
- Flexible in working hours to meet the demands of the business.
