Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee the planning, organisation, and execution of catering services for a diverse range of events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the catering team to ensure efficient service delivery and high standards of food quality.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation in line with client specifications and organisational policies.
- Plan menus in collaboration with clients, considering dietary requirements and budget constraints.
- Manage procurement of ingredients and supplies, maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain impeccable hygiene standards across all operations.
- Coordinate with event organisers to ensure timely setup, service, and breakdown of catering functions.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to minimise waste while ensuring availability of necessary items.
- Maintain Food Costs
- Train staff on food production techniques, service procedures, and health & safety protocols.
- Handle client enquiries, provide excellent customer service, and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all catering activities for reporting purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a catering or hospitality environment.
- Strong supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Allergen Management
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire confidence among team members.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and staff.
- Familiarity with school catering desirable
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Β£15.00 per hour
