Mellors Care are recruiting for experienced Senior Care Assistants to join a well established, family run care village in Barmby Moor, as they prepare to open an exciting new service within the village.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to become part of the team from the beginning of the new service and help establish a positive, person centred culture.
The wider care village has been developed around creating a genuine community for the people who live there, with a strong emphasis on independence, dignity, relationships and providing care that reflects each individual's needs and preferences.
Both day and night positions are available, with flexibility around contracted hours depending on the preference of the successful candidates.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:
Lead and support Care Assistants during your shift
Ensure residents receive high quality, person centred care
Support with medication administration and associated documentation
Monitor residents' wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in their needs
Support with care plans, risk assessments and accurate record keeping
Provide guidance and support to members of the care team
Communicate effectively with residents, relatives and other professionals
Promote residents' dignity, independence and choice
Help maintain high standards of care throughout the service
We are looking for candidates with previous experience working within a senior care position, or experienced Care Assistants who are ready to progress and can demonstrate the skills required to take on additional responsibility.
You should be confident supporting colleagues, comfortable taking responsibility during a shift and passionate about providing excellent care.
Pay:
Day Senior Care Assistant: £14.67 per hour
Night Senior Care Assistant: £15.67 per hour
