Our client, a reputable firm of accountants based in Milton Keynes, is seeking a Permanent Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper to join their team. You will be AAT qualified. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the bookkeeping and accounting functions using a cloud-based platform.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing transactions posted by junior team members
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns
  • Serving as a point of contact for clients, handling a variety of queries via email and telephone
  • Contributing to ensuring client records are accurate and up-to-date
  • Assisting senior team members in finalising books for year-end accounts
  • Undertaking ad hoc administrative duties as required
