Role Overview: As a Sales Engineer in the Southeast region, you’ll serve as the face of Meller for transport and logistics related businesses, promoting our end-to-end product transfer solutions. You will build and manage customer relationships, propose technical and commercial solutions, and support specification, quotation, and project handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target Driven: Achieve and exceed agreed annual financial sales targets.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities with tanker operators, fleets, truck manufacturers/dealers, and transport service providers.
- Technical Sales Support: Conduct technical surveys, site visits, product demonstrations, and recommend optimum solutions.
- Quotation Management: Prepare and present detailed quotes in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build strategic partnerships, manage sales pipeline, and maintain CRM records.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs. Identify new market possibilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Engineering-related degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in B2B technical sales—ideally within transport, liquids, or bulk-handling sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret technical specs and deliver viable solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the region.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
