Contract: Temporary, Part-time

End date: This is an open-endedcontract with no specified end date. The role will continue for as long as thenamed pupil remains at Queen's Crescent School and requires 1:1 support. Thecontract will end when the pupil leaves the school or when 1:1 support is nolonger required.

Working hours: 17 hours and 55mins per week, working 38weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days)

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.40am to 12.15pm

Job summary

We are seeking to appoint acaring, committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team atQueen's Crescent School, providing dedicated support to a pupil to help themaccess learning and achieve their full potential. Working closely with theclass teacher and wider staff team, you will provide tailored support in linewith the pupil's individual needs, including learning, behaviour and emotionalwellbeing. You will encourage independence, confidence and positive engagementwith learning, while supporting the pupil to participate fully in school life.The role may also involve supporting a pupil with SEND, personal care or otherspecific needs where required. We are looking for a patient, calm and adaptableindividual with excellent communication skills who can build a positive andtrusting relationship with the pupil and work effectively as part of the widerschool team.

Our School

Queen's Crescent Schoolis a two-form entry primary school, based in Chippenham with over 400 pupils onroll across 14 classes. In 2014 the school became a single academy trustand subsequently joined Pickwick Academy Trust in 2017 as one of the fourfounding schools.
