As Head of Engineering, you will lead a dynamic and skilled team, driving operational excellence across a complex, multi-line production environment. Your focus will be on optimising performance, ensuring safety and compliance, and delivering sustainable improvements that support long-term business growth.

What You\’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and Inspire: Set the standard for technical excellence and team performance, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement within engineering and maintenance.
• Own the Metrics: Drive results across asset reliability, preventative maintenance, equipment uptime, and energy efficiency. Monitor KPIs closely and implement strategies to meet and exceed targets.
• Ensure Operational Integrity: Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and food manufacturing compliance across all engineering activities, ensuring full audit and regulatory readiness.
• Champion Innovation: Spearhead capital investment projects, introduce new technologies, and embed engineering best practices that elevate operational capability.
• Work Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with departments across production, quality, planning, and supply chain to ensure alignment and seamless execution of operational goals.
• Build Capability: Mentor and develop your team, ensuring robust succession planning and a pipeline of future technical leaders.

What We\’re Looking for:

• A proven senior engineering leader within food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally with experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Deep technical expertise in engineering compliance, reliability, and asset care strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, inspire accountability, and drive a high-performance culture.
• Strong grasp of CMMS systems, capital project delivery, and data-driven decision-making.
• Confident using digital tools (e.g., MS Office, SAP) and passionate about leveraging technology for operational improvement.
