Melium Consulting have been retained by a global leader in packaging to identify and attract an experienced Plant Manager to lead their flagship manufacturing site. Reporting to the European Manufacturing Director, this role oversees a 24/7 facility poised for substantial growth.
You will play a pivotal role in meeting performance targets across Safety, HR, Quality, Production, Engineering, and Cost Control. You will embody their values in every interaction and ensure compliance with high standards of safety, ethics, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities;
- Lead plant operations to meet KPIs, including output, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Champion a robust safety culture, ensuring adherence to all policies and striving for continuous improvement
- Oversee P&L and budget preparation, resource allocation, and cost management
- Motivate and mentor a skilled Plant Management team, fostering communication across departments and establishing a culture of trust and collaboration
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive plant performance and operational excellence
- Continuously seek and implement improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
Qualifications and Experience;
- Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a Plant or Production Manager role, ideally within the metal packaging, automotive, or FMCG sectors
- Strong understanding of business principles such as budgeting and cost control
- Familiarity with continuous improvement tools
