We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Controller to lead the Warehouse function for our Cambridge site! This will include receipt, storage and shipping, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer service!
Responsibilities
- Act as lead for the UK warehouse and work as part of the stores team.
- Track stock levels, perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, manage storage, and handle obsolete items.
- Coordinate incoming deliveries (verify against orders) and outgoing shipments (pick, pack, label).
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports (stock, productivity), and handle shipping documents like B/Ls and packing lists.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, customer service, and internal teams (purchasing, sales).
- Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other software for tracking and reporting.
- Import/export master data responsibility; ensure new parts are classified correctly and cleanse current SAP classifications.
- Customs compliance; work in partnership with teams in Poland to manage historic customs claims and recommend process improvements for ongoing compliance.
Daily Stores Duties
- Incoming receipt and inspection.
- Storage of parts in a safe manner.
- Kitting of works orders.
- Issuing of shortages to work orders.
- Issuing stores requests.
- Dispatching items from MRP from sales order.
- Creating manual Excel shipment paperwork when required.
- Relevant emails on shipments.
- Receiving RMA and demo machines.
- Stores kept tidy, and organised.
- MRP system updated with correct BIN locations.
- Ensure the stock accuracy within SAP is as high as possible.
- Organise courier collections when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a stores/warehouse role, ideally leading the function.
- Strong organisational & multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication & problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory software.
- Leadership & training capabilities.
- Knowledge of logistics & safety protocols.
- Positive and proactive attitude, ability to problem solve.
- Excel confident.
