We are seeking Registered Nurses (RGN) or Paramedics with relevant post‐registration experience for temporary, last‐minute, school placements across the UK. Working as an Agency Nurse for Meliora Medical will ensure that your work remains exciting and varied. You will be supported by a medical team who have years of experience providing high‐quality healthcare in schools. We understand all the wonderful intricacies of School Medicine! Not only will you receive support from colleagues in your field, but you will also receive specialist training in School Medicine to ensure you continue your professional development and provide gold standard care to pupils. Working with us will provide you with the opportunity to travel the country, work in new schools and meet fantastic like‐minded colleagues. Last but not least, you will be paid well for your dedication, expertise, and time.

Criteria:
- Valid registration with the appropriate governing body (NMC/HCPC)
- To be focused on the promotion of health and well‐being in school‐age children
- Experience providing minor illness and minor injury cover, support for long‐term conditions and complex care needs
- The ability to make sound clinical decisions independently
- Evidence of completion of Child Protection Training (Level 3)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, together with knowledge of information technology, ideally Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and EMIS or SystemOne database
- Ability to work last‐minute shifts and a willingness to travel and support schools with outstanding shifts
- Personal Liability/Indemnity insurance
- A minimum of 18 months post‐registration experience
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of acute and minor illness/injury
- Management of chronic conditions and associated administration such as care plans
- Engaging with health‐promotion and wellbeing throughout the school
- Engaging with medicines management
- Employing a quality improvement mindset throughout
- Liaising with key stakeholders such as pupils, families, safeguarding & pastoral leads
