Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Agency Nurse/Paramedic role based in Weybridge. The post holder will provide high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents in school and sports club environments, including assessment, triage, treatment, and escalation where required. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Responding to acute injuries and illnesses
- Delivering evidence-based first aid and emergency care
- Supporting concussion and injury management pathways in line with Meliora Medical protocols
- Clear documentation and effective communication with families, school and club staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Safeguarding and risk assessment in all interactions
- Contributing to health promotion
- Attending training and clinical updates
- Upholding best practice standards for youth-focused care and patient experience
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic with the appropriate UK regulatory body (e.g., NMC/HCPC), with post-registration clinical experience in acute, emergency, or community settings.
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills, including triage, basic and advanced life support, and safe escalation and referral pathways for children and adolescents.
- Experience working with young people in sports, school, emergency, or primary care environments, with a clear understanding of safeguarding, consent, and family-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain clinical information clearly to young people, parents/guardians, and non-clinical staff.
- Competence in accurate, timely clinical documentation and use of digital tools or electronic medical record systems.
- Up-to-date training in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Immediate/Advanced Life Support (ILS/ALS), safeguarding children, and first aid.
