This is a lead role in a medium-sized consultancy. A truly unique business that has doubled in size in the past 3 years and expanded its office network to 5 strategic locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working closely with clients, and wants to progress their career within a modern, forward-thinking consultancy.
As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality professional consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will work directly with the company's clients, manage instructions from inception to completion, support business development activity, and contribute to the leadership and development of team members.
Company overview:- Significant experience across many industry sectors, including civil, residential, aviation, commercial, rail, education, leisure, defence, retail, utilities and infrastructure.
- Both UK and international experience.
- Project values from £100k to £20m.
- Traditional and Design & Build procurement routes.
- Traditional and Partnering contracts.
- Contracts, Frameworks and PFI models.
- New build, refurbishment/renovation, regeneration, repairs and maintenance (planned and reactive).
- Worked with many leading edge clients.
- Understanding, developing and communicating the project need from stakeholders.
- Establishing output criteria and performance - scope, time, quality and cost.
- Planning the project pathway, establishing inputs to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Assembling competent project teams.
- Allocating, co-ordinating and managing the activities of the project team to deliver desired outputs/outcomes.
- Managing change to the project pathway.
- Monitoring the quality of project inputs and outputs and assessing these against the established input and output performance criteria.
- Able & willing to travel - initially in Southampton.
- Must possess strong client-facing skills.
- Good understanding of contracts.
- Experience of project management in the built environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Highly motivated.
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline.
- Either MRICS or MCIOB.
