We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our clients team for a reinforced concrete (RC) frame project based in Wokingham. This is a key role within the site team, responsible for overseeing engineering delivery and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and programme performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day site engineering activities
- Carry out and oversee all setting out works for the RC frame
- Prepare and submit RFIs, and review drawings and technical specifications
- Review and coordinate temporary works designs
- Maintain clear communication with the client, attending and contributing to site meetings
- Arrange and manage call-offs for reinforcement and concrete
- Prepare, track, and monitor concrete cube test results
- Implement and uphold quality assurance procedures, including:
- Pre- and post-pour inspections
- Reinforcement checks
- Snagging and final sign-off
- Monitor site progress and produce accurate progress reports
- Work collaboratively with the wider site team, including the Site Foreman
Requirements
- Proven experience working on RC frame projects
- Strong understanding of site engineering, QA processes, and construction workflows
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload and support junior team members effectively
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification preferred
