We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our clients team for a reinforced concrete (RC) frame project based in Wokingham. This is a key role within the site team, responsible for overseeing engineering delivery and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and programme performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day site engineering activities
  • Carry out and oversee all setting out works for the RC frame
  • Prepare and submit RFIs, and review drawings and technical specifications
  • Review and coordinate temporary works designs
  • Maintain clear communication with the client, attending and contributing to site meetings
  • Arrange and manage call-offs for reinforcement and concrete
  • Prepare, track, and monitor concrete cube test results
  • Implement and uphold quality assurance procedures, including:
    • Pre- and post-pour inspections
    • Reinforcement checks
    • Snagging and final sign-off
  • Monitor site progress and produce accurate progress reports
  • Work collaboratively with the wider site team, including the Site Foreman

Requirements

  • Proven experience working on RC frame projects
  • Strong understanding of site engineering, QA processes, and construction workflows
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workload and support junior team members effectively
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification preferred
