Excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor working in the water and civils sector based in the Southampton region. My client would ideally be interested in candidates with a background in water, but will certainly consider candidates with a civils background and NEC contract experience. My client is a first-class civil engineering main contractor who really value their staff and this is exampled by their fantastic staff retention rate.

Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Supply chain management
  • Compile forecasts and attend forecast meetings
  • Prepare internal contract valuations
  • Develop and produce reports
  • Monitor performance standards & quality
  • Procure and manage subcontractors
  • Build strong relationships with clients & their representatives
  • Establish & actively promote working relationships between the department
  • Manage the contract and scope of works
  • Discuss and develop procurement strategy
  • Submit timely applications for payments
  • Review costs & value

Role Requirements:
