The Opportunity
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant to join their Ringwood office. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a construction consultancy environment, gaining hands-on experience across cost planning, project delivery, and client management. You will work alongside senior professionals while also taking ownership of projects aligned with your experience level.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of cost plans, estimates, and budget reports
- Production of tender documentation and procurement management
- Delivery of contract administration (JCT/NEC) and cost control
- Preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Acting as a client-facing point of contact
- Risk management, value engineering, and cost reporting
- Supporting overall project delivery and commercial management
Requirements
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant
- Background in consultancy or main contractor environment
- Knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC)
- Understanding of cost management and commercial processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage workload independently
- Working towards RICS / MRICS (desirable but not essential)
