Great opportunity for a Quality Advisor required for a very successful civil engineering contractor on a major project near Portsmouth Responsibilities of the Quality Advisor: * Ensure that all structural and civils works are carried out in accordance with the contract scope, specifications, drawings and industry standards. * Support the project delivery teams in the production of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and quality control checklists. * Monitor project delivery teams’ quality control activities and conduct independent checks * Coordinate with the NEC Supervisor regarding witnessing of tests and inspections * Assist with development of and Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) * Oversee the approval process for materials and products for the project. * Assist with the development of quality forms and checklists t * Monitor project delivery teams’ quality control activities and conduct independent checks * Monitor and measure completion of all tests and inspections and production of associated records in line with Inspection and Test Plans * Management of quality records and issuing to the client * Manage test results and issuing to relevant parties * Liaise with the designers, client, client’s representatives, including the Construction Engineer in all aspects of quality of the works. * Review designs as they develop from concept through to detailed design to ensure designs can be constructed to the required quality requirements. * Work with project management and engineering staff to improve the quality of work on site. Skills & Knowledge required for the Quality Advisor * Experience of producing and meeting requirements of Inspection and Test Plans * Knowledge of construction techniques in particular water projects (desirable) * Excellent record keeping and data management skills * Strong communication skills and ability to discuss technical aspects with other technical and non-technical individuals. * High level of attention to detail. Experience required for the Quality advisor * Experience of large complex construction projects * Experience of structural concrete and road construction * Technology skills * IT Microsoft Office skills -Outlook, Word, Excel, * CDE and construction management software such as Autodesk Construction Cloud Ideally you will have a Qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction (Such as a Degree/HNC – or similar) and have a CSCS Card – Manager or Academically qualified This represents a great long term career opportunity for the right Quality Advisor, coupled with very competitive salary package Apply now
