Brand new opportunity for an Estimator, working alongside a 3 person team and part of a large established company. After a period of heavy investment by the companies ultimate owners, this business has already won major orders and is well on track with their 5 year business plan for growth. A position has become available for an Estimator due to an impending retirement.
The Role:
- Responsible for the full and accurate cost estimation of Groundworks, Civil Engineering and RC Frames.
- Liaising with suppliers to maintain an up-to-date library of products and their latest costs/lead times.
- Preparing detailed quotation/tender packs for submission to the client.
- Responsible for the procurement of products for the pod division from Bills of Material provided by the Design Dept. at rates at or below those contained within the estimate.
- Monitoring delivery dates to ensure they align with production requirements.
- Liaising closely with the Company’s sales, design and production teams.
- Carrying out R&D projects as required – new products, systems, Regulations, etc.
- The role will sometimes involve working additional hours to ensure deadlines are met.
The Person:
- Experience in construction-related costing roles preferable.
- A good communicator, both verbally and in writing, you will also need to confidently manage projects.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations.
