Great opportunity for an Environmental Coordinator working for a highly successful civil engineering contractor in Sussex. The role will be based near Shoreham by Sea. You will ensure that environmental standards are embedded throughout project delivery. Acting as the key link between site operations and leadership, the role focuses on compliance, monitoring, and continuous improvement. The Coordinator supports the implementation of environmental management systems, drives best practice, and helps deliver client and regulatory requirements while promoting innovation in sustainability and biodiversity.

  • Exposure to sustainability initiatives such as carbon reduction and biodiversity enhancement.

Ideal Technology skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Experience with GIS, environmental data logging systems, or digital reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and CDE platforms (e.g., Procore, Aconex).

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
  • Practitioner-level membership of ISEP/IEMA (or working towards).
  • Professional registration with SocEnv (REnvTech or progressing to CEnv) desirable.
