Mission:
As Luggage Porter, you will promote the best
possible image of the hotel through excellent guest service on the hotel
forecourt, ensuring the smooth handling of luggage, transport arrangements, and
general guest support. You will maintain operational standards, Health &
Safety, and contribute to a welcoming, 5-star experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain high
standards of Health & Safety, Fire, and Security, ensuring full compliance
with policies and procedures.
Attend and participate in all required training, fire
drills, and departmental meetings.
• Provide a
professional guest service, including luggage assistance, handling enquiries,
and resolving complaints effectively.
• Ensure cleanliness
and presentation of all departmental areas, including entrances and forecourt.
• Plan, organise,
and oversee daily departmental operations, ensuring alignment with hotel
objectives.
• Maintain accurate
shift handover records and ensure follow-up on all required actions.
• Monitor
departmental supplies, staffing cover, and cost control to ensure efficient
operations.
• Promote teamwork,
communication, and staff welfare across all departments.
• Act in the best
interests of the company, supporting equal opportunities policies and
undertaking reasonable additional duties as required.

• Previous experience
in a luggage porter, doorman, or guest-facing role, ideally within a luxury or
high-end hotel
• A professional,
service-driven attitude with excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to
detail and a proactive approach to guest service
• Ability to work
well under pressure, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Full, clean driving
licence and a reliable team player with good organisational skills
