We're looking for a Business Development Manager to take the lead in driving MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) revenue across the UK & Ireland.

In this pivotal role, you'll be the face of Meli Hotels International to a portfolio of high-profile global accounts, crafting compelling sales strategies, forging meaningful client relationships, and delivering impactful growth across the region. Competitive Salary plus Bonus

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute tailored sales strategies in collaboration with the Head of Corporate & MICE Sales to grow share from top global accounts.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Meli Hotels International across BT and consortia markets, representing all hotels in your portfolio with confidence and clarity.
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities through proactive account penetration and robust client relationship management.
  • Manage the full RFP lifecycle - negotiations, implementation, and follow-up to secure maximum participation of MHI properties in corporate travel programs.
  • Organize and lead impactful client meetings, hotel site visits, and familiarization trips that inspire loyalty and business conversion.
  • Analyze account performance data to identify trends, inform strategy, and deliver actionable insights that drive incremental revenue.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence across key markets, understanding how MHI's offerings stack up against the competition.
  • Represent MHI at industry trade shows, networking events, and client functions to boost visibility and build new business pipelines.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional written & spoken English (Spanish is a plus!).
  • Background in hospitality or tourism, with hands-on experience in hotel or hotel chain sales (ISO, RSO, NSO roles preferred).
  • Proficient in CRM platforms and modern sales tools.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset adept at interpreting financial and market data to shape winning approaches.
  • Strong communicator and natural relationship-builder, able to connect with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to close deals and drive profitability.
