Job mission:

As Cluster Sales Manager – MICE, you will be responsible for developing new Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) business and managing existing MICE accounts across Meliá White House, Meliá London Kensington and ME London. Working across the Americas, Europe and Asia, you will support the implementation of the MICE sales strategy, achieve agreed commercial targets, develop strategic account relationships and identify new opportunities to grow room nights, room revenue, event space, F&B and other MICE-related revenue. This is a highly proactive and commercially focused role, combining business development, account management, market intelligence and close collaboration with Revenue Management, Groups & Events and hotel leadership teams.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the MICE sales strategy across the three London hotels, aligned with the Business Plan and commercial objectives.
  • Achieve and exceed agreed MICE targets across room nights, room revenue, ADR, event space, F&B and other MICE-related revenue.
  • Develop new MICE business and proactively manage a defined portfolio of existing MICE agencies and accounts across international markets.
  • Build strong relationships through client appointments, FAM trips, roadshows, lunch & learns, sales blitzes, trade events and global MICE activities.
  • Analyse MICE enquiries, conversion rates, account production and market trends to identify opportunities and develop targeted actions to increase business.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, business plans, weekly projections and reforecasts, providing accurate market and account intelligence to the Director of Sales and Head of Groups & Events.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management on MICE pricing, rates and sales conditions to maximise revenue and profitability.
  • Re-engage previous MICE clients and develop targeted account strategies to generate repeat and incremental business across all three hotels.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information, sales activity and business opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Work collaboratively with Groups & Events, Revenue Management, hotel Operations, GSO and Meliá MICE colleagues globally to deliver seamless client experiences and maximise commercial opportunities.

What are we looking for:

  • Encourage and coordinate site inspections for prospective MICE clients, ensuring the hotels are effectively presented to key decision-makers.
  • Attend high-value or strategically important site inspections and involve the Director of Sales where appropriate.
  • Ensure all relevant MICE platforms and digital sales channels are accurate and up to date.
  • Represent Meliá Hotels International at relevant international trade shows, exhibitions, networking events and MICE activities.
  • Travel internationally, including approximately 4–6 trips to the US per year. The ability and willingness to travel to the US is essential to the success of this role.
