Job mission:

As Head of Groups & Events Planning, you will be responsible for maximising hotel revenue through the planning, coordination, and delivery of all groups and events. You will lead and develop the Groups & Events Planning team, ensuring seamless execution from contracting to event delivery. Your mission is to drive financial performance across MICE, social events, and related services by implementing strategic planning actions while maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the General / Hotel Manager in developing and executing the hotel’s Groups & Events strategy.
  • Ensure achievement of budgeted targets for groups, events, and related F&B revenues.
  • Oversee contracts, group summaries, BEOs, and pre-con meetings to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Lead and support the Conference & Events Planning team, ensuring optimal workload distribution and performance.
  • Ensure smooth handover of confirmed events to hotel operations and maintain strong interdepartmental communication.
  • Prepare forecasts, projections, and standard reports on group and event demand and production.
  • Monitor event execution, analyse performance, and implement actions to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Promote and attend site inspections, client meetings, and familiarisation visits to increase conversion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in budget preparation, monitoring, and optimisation, analysing P&L, revenues, and expenses.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a management or leadership role within a similar luxury hotel or MICE environment.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, financial, and communication skills.
  • Hands‑on, results‑oriented approach with strong analytical thinking.
  • Excellent planning ability with a proactive, service‑driven mindset.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
