As a Business Controller, you will ensure the correct implementation of administration, financial control, and dry storage processes across assigned business units. Supporting the Operations Centre Business Partner, you will play a key role in monitoring financial performance, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency across the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls across administration and storage areas
- Support the Business Partner by analysing financial and operational data to guide decision-making
- Monitor hotel budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, identifying and reporting deviations
- Participate in budget preparation, financial closing processes, and forecasting activities
- Coordinate cost control and cash control processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures
- Monitor payment collection processes, reducing outstanding balances and improving cash flow
- Supervise accounting entries and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Support reporting requirements for owners, stakeholders, and joint ventures
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar finance or controlling role
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Understanding of accounting principles and hotel operations
- Experience with financial systems (SAP, PMS, Microsoft Office)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence, prioritise, and work collaboratively across departments
- Advanced English (additional language is a plus)
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with strong decision-making ability
