Job mission: As a Groups & Events Manager, you will lead the Groups & Events department, driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and outstanding guest experiences. You will oversee the full lifecycle of group and event business — from sales development and contracting to planning, execution, and post-event analysis — ensuring profitability while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Groups & Events team, setting clear objectives and driving performance.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of MICE and social event accounts to maximise revenue and repeat business.
- Oversee the planning and execution of all groups and events from contract signature to post-event review.
- Ensure accurate preparation and timely distribution of group summaries and BEOs.
- Chair pre-convention meetings and act as senior liaison between clients and hotel departments.
- Monitor forecasting, budgeting, and revenue reporting for the department.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to inform pricing strategies.
- Review contracts, billing, and financial performance to ensure accuracy and profitability.
- Participate in hotel business reviews, providing detailed segment analysis and projections.
What are we looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior Groups & Events or MICE leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving revenue and achieving financial targets.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Strong organisational and strategic planning abilities.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
