Melia Hotels International have an excellent opportunity to lead the dynamic UK Sales team, managing an expanding portfolio of six 4* / 5* hotels across London and regional cities.

Salary: Competitive (Negotiable DOE) + 20% bonus
Mission: As the Director of Sales for the Hotels in the UK (London, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle), you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies across all segments and channels in the UK, while also managing and developing a high-performing sales team. You’ll collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Operations to prepare business plans, define objectives, and optimize sales performance for the entire area.
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Sales, Hotels UK will include:
- Sales Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for hotels, ensuring alignment with business goals. Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve objectives across all segments, including Luxury, MICE, Corporate, and E-Commerce.
- Revenue Management: Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to define revenue targets, track performance, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Key Account Management: Oversee local accounts and work with Global Sales to manage high-value clients. Lead negotiations and close deals that have a significant impact on hotel revenue.
- Business Planning: Define and implement business plans for each hotel, ensuring seamless coordination between Revenue Management, Sales, and Operations to achieve goals.
- Group & Event Sales: Drive sales for group bookings and events (MICE), ensuring performance targets are met and exceeded.
- Market Analysis & Pricing: Work with Revenue Management to set competitive pricing strategies for rooms, event spaces, and F&B services, maximizing revenue across the board.
- Reporting & Insights: Lead business reviews, monitor sales activities, and present insights to senior leadership to guide strategy adjustments.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Director of Sales for 4* / 5* hotels in the London market.
- Deep knowledge of the hotel and tourism industry at international level, excellent connections within the London / UK market.
- Strong connections with key travel agencies, Luxury, MICE, and Business Travel networks in the UK and main feeder markets.
- Highly developed leadership, coaching, and motivational skills with the ability to inspire both internal and external teams.
- Ability to identify further opportunities through strong relationship development.
- Excellent presentation and client presentation skills.
- Goal oriented, energetic and enthusiastic.
