We are looking for those with a passion for working outdoors to join the greenkeeping team on a fixed‑term contract to work over the months of May to September and assist the team in delivering a first‑class course for our members. Meldrum House offers the finest facilities and golf is certainly no exception. Our course, designed by Graeme Webster, is sculpted to perfection in Scotland’s breathtaking scenery and is one of the most beautiful parkland golf courses in the country. The mature woodland backdrop, meticulous landscaping and abundant wildlife make it a golf experience like no other.
Your role is to assist in the preparation and maintenance of all golf playing surfaces to the agreed high standard. Duties also involve the maintenance and presentation of estate grounds. Occasionally carry out mowing operations using pedestrian mowing equipment only, with proper training provided—ensuring equipment is prepared, maintained, and operated as instructed in accordance with operator’s manual, SOPs, and risk assessments. Assist in the aeration of turf by emptying boxes and clearing the playing surface. Perform turf operations including divot repair and turf laying. Maintain bunkers, including weeding, raking, construction, and topping up sand. Maintain paths by filling potholes with gravel and weeding. Weeding using non‑chemical methods. Clear leaf, debris, and litter. Change tee markers and hole signage as directed. Maintain ball washers. Mind your own health and safety and that of others affected by your actions at work. Discuss any queries or concerns relating to health and safety with your manager/supervisor or health and safety representative. Attend health and safety training as directed. Report any unsafe or non‑optimal equipment to management immediately. Follow all directions, signage, and training given.
