The Role

Our client is seeking a high-performing Account Director to join their team. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in complexity, brings a sharp strategic mind, and can lead from the front. You’ll guide a diverse portfolio of work, oversee teams, deepen client partnerships, and drive new growth.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with senior stakeholders, including political, corporate, and media figures.
  • Developing leading public affairs strategy and acting as a trusted political advisor to prominent government figures.
  • Design and lead multi-dimensional communications strategies that resonate at the national and international level.
  • Own delivery for high-profile accounts, managing teams, budgets, and timelines with precision.
  • Spot and seize growth opportunities – whether in a new market, a new sector, or a new idea.
  • Inspire, mentor, and lead junior team members, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigour, and ambition.
  • Represent the firm at key industry events, forums, and private gatherings, elevating our brand and building influence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor – both internally and externally – known for clear judgement and strategic depth.

What You Bring

  • Around 7 years’ experience in political advisory, strategic communications, public affairs, or a related field.
  • Must have experience across international campaigns, preferably including the Middle East and Europe.
  • An established network across policy, media, and business communities – and the instinct to expand it.
  • A global mindset, with experience operating across multiple jurisdictions or in international contexts.
  • A collaborative leadership style that encourages innovation and accountability.
  • Experience in digital advocacy, campaign planning, or online reputation management is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in another major language (e.g. Arabic, French, Spanish, German) is a welcome advantage.
