Melbreck are working with a leading designer and manufacturer of special purpose electronic equipment based in the Northwest in Lancaster. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronic Design Engineer to join their engineering team in Lancaster. This is a hands-on technical role focused on the end-to-end design of robust, manufacturable electronic systems, from concept and schematic design through to PCB layout and production support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop DC power supply systems, including multi-rail architectures, protection, monitoring, and efficiency optimisation.
- Design and implement communication bus interfaces including Ethernet, USB, I2C, and Serial (UART, SPI).
- Produce high-quality schematics and PCB layouts with strong focus on signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC.
- Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT).
