Aquinas College wishes to employ a suitably experienced and qualified Senior IT Technician to provide efficient and high quality assistance and support to the College’s Information Technology (IT) assets and infrastructure. This position will be a full time, ongoing opportunity. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager and Director of Technology, the preferred candidate will combine their hands‑on technical expertise with proactive problem‑solving skills to ensure Level 2 & 3 help desk queries are resolved efficiently and our systems remain secure and maintained.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and proven experience in a similar Information Technology position
  • Experience in ITIL Certification and workflows (including Incident, Major Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Knowledge Management)
  • Demonstrated experience in L1–L3 support skills with IT hardware, software, communications and AV systems
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of customers (students, staff, contractors etc)
  • The ability to work successfully within a team
  • Experience working in a school setting would be highly regarded (but not essential)
  • A current working with children’s check and police check (or be prepared to obtain one)
  • A demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
  • Relevant permissions to work in Australia

The successful applicant will be appointed following a salary assessment according to the Catholic Education Multi‑Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) 2022.
