Aquinas College wishes to appoint a dynamic, suitably qualified person to the position of Laboratory Technician. The position is flexible and can either be 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE and ongoing.
The role of the Laboratory Technician is to support the delivery of the Science curriculum by assisting teachers and the Laboratory Manager to prepare experiments for Science classes. The successful applicant will assist in maintaining and organising the science laboratories and related equipment. The Laboratory Technician is regarded as a specialist in the field of science and will be required to provide current, safe and accurate advice.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
- relevant experience and skills together with a strong interest in supporting students’ learning
- knowledge of GHS and current safe handling guidelines
- excellent communication and organisational skills
- an ability to work successfully within a team
- qualifications and experience appropriate to the role
- current WWCC and Victorian Police Check
- relevant permissions to work in Australia
