Aquinas College wishes to employ a suitably experienced and qualified IT Technician to provide efficient and high quality assistance and support to the College’s Information Technology (IT) assets and infrastructure. This position will be a full-time, ongoing opportunity. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager and Director of Technology, the preferred candidate will combine their hands-on technical expertise with proactive problem-solving skills to ensure Level 1 & 2 help desk queries are resolved efficiently and our systems remain secure and maintained.
The successful applicant will have:
- relevant qualifications and proven experience in a similar Information Technology position
- experience in ITIL certification and workflows (including Incident, Major Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Knowledge Management)
- demonstrated experience in L1–L2 support skills with IT hardware, software, communications and AV systems
- excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of customers (students, staff, contractors etc)
- the ability to work successfully within a team
- experience working in a school setting would be highly regarded (but not essential)
- a current working with children’s check and police check (or be prepared to obtain one)
- a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
- relevant permissions to work in Australia
The successful applicant will be appointed following a salary assessment according to the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) 2022. Aquinas College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.
