The Position
We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join the college as a Targeted Programs and Interventions Coordinator – a dynamic, dual‑role position designed to support, empower and enable all students to flourish in an inclusive, engaging and mutually respectful environment. This is a unique opportunity that combines meaningful leadership responsibility with a continued classroom presence, allowing the successful candidate to lead systemic change while remaining connected to the students at the heart of that work.
Role Structure
The position offers a blended load across leadership and teaching, with the overall FTE tailored to the successful candidate's preference.
- 2026 – Position of Leadership (POL): 0.33 FTE – 12 periods per week; Inclusion and/or Intervention teaching load: 0.47–0.67 FTE; Total: 0.8–1.0 FTE (tailored to the successful candidate's preference)
- 2027–2028 – Position of Leadership (POL): 0.65 FTE – 24 periods per week; Inclusion and/or Intervention teaching load: 0.15–0.35 FTE; Total: 0.8–1.0 FTE (tailored to the successful candidate's preference)
A POL allowance of $9,629 per annum applies to this position.
Qualifications
Essential- Tertiary qualifications in Education with evidence of continuous formal learning in a relevant field.
- Accreditation to Teach RE or Lead in a Catholic School, working towards attainment or preparedness to commence working towards attainment.
- Experience coordinating inclusion practices in an education setting.
- Experience in delivering targeted professional learning.
- Sound knowledge of the Universal Design for Learning Framework.
- Highly developed understanding of sustainable positive education practices.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams to delivery of outcomes.
- Experience managing projects and resources.
- Understanding of Mercy traditions, and capacity to positively advance the mission and Mercy values.
