We are seeking an accomplished educational leader to join our Executive Team as Deputy Principal â Learning and Innovation. This fiveâyear executive appointment includes an ongoing teaching role and offers a rare opportunity to shape the strategic direction of learning, teaching, and innovation. Remuneration will be aligned with experience and follow the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education MultiâEnterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).
As part of the wider faith and educational community of Malvern and Malvern East, De La Salle College operates under the governance of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).
About the Role- Provide dynamic and progressive leadership of learning and teaching across the College
- Champion innovative curriculum design and implementation that meets the needs of every learner
- Lead and mentor Curriculum Leaders, Learning Area Team Leaders, and teaching staff
- Ensure the values and beliefs of our Lasallian Catholic tradition permeate College life
- Shape and articulate a vision for worldâclass learning through strategic and operational planning
- Model exceptional leadership within a collaborative Performance and Development culture
- Oversee the development and delivery of highâquality learning programs
- Partner with the Deputy Principal â Staff and Students to maintain teacher compliance with College standards
- Lead Professional Learning frameworks and initiatives across the College
- Participate in relevant College Board subâcommittees, including the Building Committee as required
- Support the Principal with the planning and execution of the College Master Plan
- You are an inspiring educational leader with a track record of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- You bring strategic insight, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to leading in a valuesârich Lasallian environment.
- A relevant tertiary qualification, including a Master's degree
- Demonstrated experience in senior educational leadership
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- A genuine commitment to Catholic education and Lasallian values
- The ability to build meaningful, professional relationships with students, staff, and families
- Expertise in creating rich, challenging, and differentiated learning environments
- A mindset that embraces continual improvement, contemporary pedagogy, and the effective use of technology
