The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic Physical Education teacher to take classes Prep (Foundation) to Year 6. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of the current Victorian Curriculum and the ability to design engaging PE lessons for F-6 students. The position will ideally commence early in Term 3 and run until the end of the school year with the possibility of further tenure dependent upon staffing. There is a possibility of extra FTE capacity in partnership with another local Catholic primary school.
Key Responsibilities
- Expertise in developing a F-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
- Experience in teaching Physical Education and undertaking administrative tasks for school events and representative opportunities
- Strong student and class management and student well-being focus
- Ability to create differentiated, inclusive, rigorous learning experiences for all students
- Ability to fulfil additional responsibilities, including coordinating school sporting activities and events

- Commitment to the Catholic faith and Catholic identity of the school
- Innovative, enthusiastic and collaborative with a strong focus on the science of learning to ensure high student outcomes
- Understanding and knowledge of the Visions for Instruction and Engagement
- Understanding and knowledge of the Science of Learning and how this impacts student outcomes
- Enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum to support student learning
- Understanding of Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) and its implementation to create safe and effective teaching and learning environments
- Ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Provide a child-safe environment for students
Special Requirements
- Possess VIT registration
- Be familiar with and comply with all requirements of Child Safety, policies and legal responsibilities concerning the safety, care and wellbeing of all students; St Richard's has a commitment to child-safe practices and zero tolerance for abuse
