Sacred Heart Primary School is a small Catholic school community in the heart of vibrant Preston. We honour our faith’s rich traditions and participate in its rituals. Overview

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about:

  • Teaching and learning within a Catholic Parish faith community, guiding students in their faith and Sacramental journey.
  • Planning and delivering engaging programs that meet the needs of all students.
  • Incorporating the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement into daily teaching practice.
  • Using evidence-based Literacy practices, such as InitiaLit (Foundation to Year 2).
  • Explicitly teaching Maths, extending students at their point of need.
  • Delivering Inquiry learning that fosters curiosity, reflection, and a love of learning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across all school levels.

V.I.T. Registration

Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (highly desirable).
