An established care provider in the South West is seeking an experienced Interim Clinical Manager to provide immediate senior clinical leadership across nursing and care services during a period of transition.
This is a high-impact interim assignment suited to a confident clinical leader who can stabilise, optimise, and drive quality across complex services.
The opportunity:
You will take full responsibility for clinical governance, quality assurance, and workforce leadership, while acting as a strategic clinical link between the service, community partners, and external stakeholders.
Key focus areas include:
- Clinical governance & CQC compliance
- Safeguarding, IPC, medicines optimisation & risk
- Mentorship of nurses and senior care staff
- Oversight of complex case management
- Quality improvement & audit leadership
- Supporting service continuity during change
Youโll operate as the senior clinical authority on-site, working closely with operational leadership.
Person Specification
- Registered Nurse (Active NMC PIN)
- Proven interim or senior clinical leadership experience
- Availability to start within 4 weeks.
- Strong background in care homes / complex older persons services
- Expert knowledge of CQC frameworks, safeguarding & governance
- Confident decision-maker able to stabilise services quickly
- Able to lead teams through change with authority and empathy
