We are currently supporting a large private provider of mental health services to find a Hospital Director for one of its largest flag ship sites, based in Yorkshire.
The role:
You will be managing a large medium secure hospital, which provides a range of mental health services with 100+ inpatient beds. The Hospital has had a stable workforce and enjoys a good relationship with NHS commissioners. The Hospital Director will have accountability for the financial and operational performance of the hospital. This includes setting the standard by leading the Hospital Senior Management Team (SMT) and taking ownership for cost control, budgeting, and ensuring regulatory requirements are satisfied. The hospital is currently rated as RI by CQC, and the incoming Hospital Director will need to have a strong commitment to drive quality standards and to deliver on the established quality improvement plan.
Person specification:
You will ideally be a registered mental health nurse (RMN) or Occupational Therapist by professional training, with a deep understanding of mental health services from either the NHS or independent sector. You will bring strong operational management and clinical leadership skills, and you will balance a focus on quality improvement with the need to maintain growth and profitability. You will be well rewarded and eligible for a bonus based on achieving personal, financial and quality based objectives. You will have the support of corporate infrastructure, but a strong degree of autonomy to manage the hospital.
