Melber Flinn is a specialist healthcare recruitment business. We’re looking for a Clinical Manager to take a key leadership role within a well-established care service in Devon. This is an opportunity to influence clinical excellence across residential, nursing, dementia, and complex care pathways, while supporting workforce development and service improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and clinical oversight to nursing and care teams.
- Lead on clinical governance, including safeguarding, infection control, medicines optimisation, and risk management.
- Work collaboratively with community services such as primary care, district nursing, and therapy teams to strengthen integrated care pathways.
- Ensure high standards of compliance with CQC regulations, professional codes, and internal policies.
- Drive service improvement, leading audits, quality monitoring, and evidence-based change projects.
- Support resident and family involvement in care planning and service evaluation.
- Promote a positive, resilient, and supportive team culture, enabling staff to develop and thrive.
Person Specification
You are a compassionate, confident and forward-thinking clinician with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding care.
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
- At least 2 years’ management experience in a health or social care setting.
- A strong grasp of clinical governance, safeguarding, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to stay calm, decisive and organised in a busy and dynamic environment.
- A passion for quality improvement and developing others.
- Interest or experience in older people’s care, dementia care, or palliative care (desirable).
