M·E·L Research is a social research agency, with expertise in research, evaluation and behavioural insights. With 40 years’ experience in working for the UK’s public services, we have a very strong focus on what we want to achieve as a business. Our vision is to make a positive difference to organisations, employees, customers, and wider society. We commit to giving 5% of our net profit as a minimum each year to charity, pay the real living wage, and actively deliver social value within – as well as a result of – our projects.

We are looking to appoint a talented Research Manager to develop and deliver a portfolio of research projects for public services and third sector clients within our Insights Team. Projects may range from social housing or private rented sector consultation to local authority consultation, health and wellbeing surveys, employee surveys, visitor surveys and many more.

Our Insights team combines both Quantitative and qualitative techniques often within the same projects, so we are looking for an individual who has experience in delivering both approaches. You will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and managing a number of projects at the same time. Although not essential, we would be particularly interested in hearing from individuals who have experience in the arts, culture and heritage sector, who have a track record in measuring/evaluating audience participation and experiences, or customer experience tracking and insights programs.

Hybrid working, with the majority of your week working from home, or fully remote, with a good reward package, and development opportunities will be available for the successful candidate. Applicants must be based in the UK.

If you are interested in applying for this role, please upload your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and why you are interested in working for M·E·L Research via the section below.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age. We are committed to ensuring that our recruitment process is fair, transparent and free from discrimination or bias. If you require any reasonable adjustments during the application process or have any questions about our approach to diversity and inclusion, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Applications close on Friday 27th June 2025 at 5pm.

We are always on the look-out for great research, insight and evaluation members and even if we do not currently have a defined role available, if you feel you have something to offer please do apply below.
